Volunteer Opportunities

We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to meet your interests and schedule!.
Do you prefer mornings or afternoons?
Seniors or children?
Do you have an hour or two each week? Time once in a while?
Would you be interested in background work -  sorting food or clothing?
Are you a people person who would enjoy a customer service role? Food and Clothing Bank check outs may be just the job for you.

            Customer Service

            Sorting and bagging

            Sponsor/Organize a Food Drive

            Drive to Tucson to pick up produce & dairy

            Drive to Marana to pick up produce

Clothing Bank

            Customer Service

            Sorting of clothes

Senior Programs

            Help the cook prepare hot mid-day meals

            Serve congregate meals

            Data entry at Senior Center

            Deliver a mid-day meal, once a week, to several home bound seniors

            Plan a senior activity

            Drive a senior to a doctor appointment

Educational Programming

            Be a teacher’s aide for an ESL (English as a Second Language) class

            Read to young children

            Tutor elementary and/or middle school children

            Pick up donated books

            Volunteer with Junior Achievement

            Help with Summer Programs

General Help

            Work at a fundraiser

            Staff an off-site food drive

            Work at the AZYP Youth Day

Help deliver meals to Seniors...

Growing Demand for Senior Programs! This means we could use help delivering hot meals to seniors mid-day. Do you live in SaddleBrooke or Sun City? Have an hour and a half to donate one day a week? Volunteers stop in at our commercial kitchen around 11:30 to pick up packaged food, deliver to several residences, then return the containers to the Senior Center. We even offer reimbursement for mileage!
